Encouraged by the success of the 1st Jiangxi Postgraduate Conference of Foreign Languages and Literature, which was held on March 31, 2018, with over 150 postgraduates from 11 universities participating and presenting, we are proud to announce that the second conference is to be held on May 5, 2019 at Jiangxi Normal University.

The conference shall be hosted by Jiangxi Foreign Language Association, Jiangxi Foreign Literature Association, Jiangxi University Association for Foreign Language Teaching, Jiangxi Sharing-Curriculum-Resources Alliance for Postgraduate Education, undertaken by Jiangxi Normal University, and sponsored by Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press.

The theme being “Language, Culture and Language Teaching”, the conference will focus on the following five major disciplines: linguistics, applied linguistics, literature, translation and intercultural communication. It aims to strengthen the academic exchange among universities and improve the research capability of the graduate students. It also responds to the call of reform and innovation in postgraduate education in the new era.

Eminent scholars will be invited to make speeches and give advice to the graduates. Participants may learn and interact with each other in plenary and parallel sessions. Tea breaks will be arranged for all to communicate in a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere.

Call for Papers

The 2nd Jiangxi Postgraduate Conference of Foreign Languages and Literature will be held on May 5, 2019, at Jiangxi Normal University. The conference is supposed to be a valuable opportunity to bring together scholars and postgraduates working in different strands of foreign languages and literature from various universities for a dynamic interdisciplinary exchange.

You are welcome to submit an abstract, in either English or Chinese, 300 words maximum, excluding the title and 3~5 key words. Please email your abstract and corresponding information (name, university, phone number, and e-mail) in Word2013 to: JX_PGLS@163.com, before March 22, 2019. Notifications of acceptance will be sent out by April 12, 2019.

Please prepare a 15-minute oral presentation plus 5-minute Question and Answer session upon receiving the notification.
